Trekking in Nepal
|
|
|
Major Trekking regions of
Nepal |
|
A trek can be a short one-day
hike to a mountain –top or ridge for spectacular views of the
mountains. It can be a three or four day excursion further north
for a closer look at the Himalayan range, or it can be a month
long walk in the shadow of the mighty peaks. The extent to which
one exerts oneself is completely variable. In choosing a trek,
|
|
many factors must be
considered. The most important factor among them is the time
available. Some trekking takes a minimum number of days and some
regions are not recommended for less than 10 days is not
advised. The individual strength/ability |

|
| |
|
and budget are also important
factors. Certain treks offers display spectacular flora and
fauna. The time of year is the most important factor to be
considered. Certain treks, interesting at a time of the year
will be difficult or even impossible at an other time like Round
Annapurna Trek, Dolpo Trek. It should be kept in mind that the
tea house trek is possible only along the most popular trekking
trails. They are Everest, Langtang and Annapurna. It will be
cheaper to go on a teahouse trek but will be heavily crowded
during the tourist season.

trekking point of view, Nepal may be divided into 4 different
regions. They are:
